The Heart of Leadership: How Moses Heredia Champions Success for All
If you ever have the chance to meet Moses Heredia, one phrase might spring to mind—inspirational leader. Widely admired not only as the successful CEO of the global financial company Global Processing Systems but also as a visionary whose passion transcends the bottom line. Moses is celebrated for his commitment to empowering individuals from modest backgrounds, much like his own, to aspire and achieve greatness. More than a financial mogul, he is a champion for the underdog, fostering an environment where those previously overlooked are given opportunities to succeed. Moses embodies the true spirit of leadership, where people always come before profit.
Who Is Moses Heredia?
Moses Heredia’s journey from humble beginnings to the helm of Global Processing Systems is a testament to his tenacity and entrepreneurial spirit. Born in New Mexico to a family of modest means, his mother, an immigrant from Chihuahua, Mexico, was a relentless entrepreneur. She ran a restaurant and a clothing store and managed property rentals, all while raising her children in a small town with a tight-knit community ethos. From a young age, Moses learned the value of hard work and dedication, often accompanying his mother to manage her businesses. This early exposure to entrepreneurship deeply influenced his career path.
Despite starting his professional life in telemarketing, Moses quickly distinguished himself through his work ethic and dedication, climbing the ranks from a telemarketing manager to eventually becoming a Vice President within the same company. However, inspired by his mother’s legacy and seeking to make a broader impact, Moses founded Global Processing Systems in 2003. His company not only thrived in the competitive financial services industry but also provided opportunities for those often overlooked, due to language barriers or lack of formal education.
What Sets Global Processing Systems Apart
Global Processing Systems, Inc. stands out as a global leader in payment processing solutions, offering secure, state-of-the-art, and easy-to-use payment options. The company partners with merchants to help them save money and provide multiple payment methods, such as credit and debit cards, gift cards, international payments, and electronic check processing. Unlike a bank, Global Processing Systems is a merchant service provider registered with Visa® and MasterCard®, catering to large corporate customers, middle-market commercial clients, and small businesses. Their commitment to outstanding customer service goes beyond basic payment processing, with products like their Gift Card program designed to help clients grow their businesses. They offer dependable systems, low competitive rates, extensive fraud and chargeback management, and tailored solutions for any industry. At Global Processing Systems, customer success is the priority, ensuring the company exceeds expectations by providing the best value in the industry. This commitment to empowering businesses and individuals is why Moses Heredia is so passionate about his work and driven to make a difference in the industry.
Why Moses Believes Success Starts With Humility
Moses credits his humble beginnings for his approach to success. “My mother was an entrepreneur, the main provider, while my father, a blue-collar worker, labored in the oil fields where I grew up,” he shares. Despite his rise to CEO, Moses remains grounded. “I still answer the phone, take out the trash, and handle client interactions alongside my corporate duties. I’m deeply involved in everything from SEO to negotiations with banks,” he explains.
For Moses, maintaining a hands-on approach is a reminder of his roots. “People often ask how it feels to be at this level, and I tell them, my email signature doesn’t carry a title—it’s just my name and the company. I don’t believe in titles; I was raised to value work, not position.” This humility shapes his leadership and, to him, true success means never losing sight of where you came from.
What Inspired Him to Join ILA
“The turning point for me was quite personal and profoundly simple,” explains Moses Heredia. “It was faith and a seemingly chance encounter that led me to this path. I met Tricia (Founder of ILA + Editor In Chief L.A. STYLE Magazine) through a mutual friend, and the moment she introduced me to her mother, something clicked. I’ve always felt a strong connection to my own mother, who passed away in 2004, and meeting Tricia and her mother on what was her birthday—it just felt like a sign,” he recalls. This instant connection deepened as they shared stories and discovered a mutual commitment to community service and faith-based initiatives. “From there, I was compelled to learn more about the Industry Leaders Association and everything they stood for. Despite knowing little about them at the time, I felt a powerful pull to help and support their mission,” Moses adds. His drive to make a meaningful impact and inspire others not to give up sealed his commitment to join ILA. “Helping even one person find their way or inspiring someone to keep pushing forward—that’s what motivates me,” he concludes.
What Moses Hopes to Achieve Next
Looking ahead, Moses is determined to navigate new challenges and opportunities with his financial services firm. “Our next big leap involves expanding our operations into Mexico, a market that feels both familiar and inspiring, given my roots,” he explains. Moses has already secured initial approvals from key partners and is now fine-tuning the logistics to facilitate this expansion. “We’ve been blessed to receive the green light to operate beyond our home country, which is a significant milestone for us,” he shares enthusiastically. With a strategy in place to grow their presence and reach, Moses’ firm aims to capitalize on new market opportunities, drawing strength from their robust foundation. “Five years from now, we envision ourselves as key players in the industry,” he adds, optimistic about the firm’s trajectory.
